On 22 April 2025, a terrorist attack at Baisaran Valley near Pahalgam in the Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir, India which killed at least 26 tourists and injured more than 20 others. This attack, the deadliest of its kind in India since the 2008 Mumbai attacks and specifically targeted male Hindu tourists. The Resistance Front (TRF), an offshoot of the Pakistan-based militant group Lashkar-e-Taiba, claimed responsibility for the attack.

The attack was claimed by The Resistance Front (TRF), which is a branch of Lashkar-e-Taiba based out of Pakistan.

Pakistan has been a root of terrorism and propagates Islamic extremism.
